Master’s in China After a Moroccan Licence: 2026 Pathway Guide
How Moroccan licence holders move to a Master’s in China in 2026: English vs Chinese tracks, CSC for graduates, why CSCA is mainly undergrad, and the document stack.
Many Moroccan students finish a licence at home and look to China for a specialised Master’s in engineering, business, IT, medicine-related fields, or Chinese language education. This 2026 guide maps the pathway without overselling results.
Licence → Master: what universities expect
- A completed bachelor/licence (or final-year proof if the school accepts conditional files)
- Major alignment or a credible bridge explanation in your study plan
- GPA / ranking context as requested by the graduate school
- Recommendation letters and a focused research or career statement for many research tracks
English-taught vs Chinese-taught Master’s
English-taught programs reduce the language barrier for Moroccan licence holders who studied in French or English, but seats and majors are limited. Chinese-taught tracks often open more options and may expect HSK (level varies by school). Some students complete a language year first — that is a deliberate timeline choice, not a shortcut.
- English track: check IELTS/TOEFL or university English waivers
- Chinese track: confirm required HSK level and whether a prep year is offered
- Mixed supervision: some labs work in English even if the degree is labelled Chinese — verify with the supervisor
CSC scholarships for graduate applicants
CSC Type A (embassy) and Type B (university) both receive Master’s applicants. Deadlines and agency numbers differ; Morocco’s embassy notice and each university page are the source of truth. Pre-admission or supervisor contact can strengthen Type B files when the school requests it.
CSCA: mainly undergraduate — confirm for Master’s
CSCA is designed primarily for bachelor applicants to many CSC-related undergraduate tracks. Master’s and PhD rules are different. Do not assume you must (or must not) sit CSCA — ask your target graduate school and follow the current CSC/embassy instructions for your degree level.
Core documents for Moroccan Master’s applicants
- Passport, photo, signed application forms
- Notarized licence diploma and transcripts + certified English translations
- Study plan / research proposal as required
- Recommendation letters (often two academic referees)
- Non-criminal record and Foreigner Physical Examination Form within validity windows
- Language proof (HSK and/or English) when the program requires it
